Project Harbinger

The downloads currently on this page all link to versions built back in 2022-early 2023, they are not accurate to the last year of development and are simply there for nostalgia purposes. Most of the earlier builds also only work with Meta Quest / Rift headsets.

Project Harbinger is a narrative, physics based VR game set on an alternate, alien-inhabited Earth, find interesting tools, fight nonsense creatures and learn about this world as you make your way through the story.

Some of the features included are: 

• Fully physics based character, you and the things you interact with are all simulated with Physics!
• Many different weapons, enemies & creatures to encounter as you progress
• Large environments that really show off the scale of VR!
• A large focus on Locomotion!

Some planned features:

• Spectator modes for content creation and a better overall non-vr viewing experience (there is a very low quality version of these tools in the current beta, they will be improved in time)
• Immersive cutscenes
• As much accessibility as I can fit into the game

How did we get here? - After falling into a portal during your ascent to Everest's peak you wake up on an alternate Earth where aliens share the planet with Earth. With the help of some new friends work out how to get home and cure yourself of a multiversal virus.

Possible issues:

The game is being created with an Valve Index and majority of testers are on Quest 2 so some VR controllers haven't been tested, if any issues arise please let me know in the Discord!
